Born in Namibia and raised in Plettenberg Bay, South Africa, Kim Stadtherr grew up surrounded by music on both sides of her family. Her mother often played piano and guitar, while her aunt - a long-time music teacher - encouraged her early curiosity, sparking a lifelong fascination with sound.
Her father, a lifelong musician and guitarist for bands such as Submission, Famaz Attak, and The World Can Wait, lived in Namibia but remained a major influence in her creative journey. It was through him that Kim discovered music production in her late teens - a moment that redefined her relationship with music. What began as simple experimentation soon evolved into a deep love for songwriting and producing, as she found herself captivated by the freedom to create and shape sound.
In 2019, Kim lived in Cape Town, where she studied music production at Cape Audio College, later completing a semester of a degree through SAE Institute. By 2020, she had returned to Plettenberg Bay, continuing to write and refine her sound while exploring new ways to apply her skills. In 2022, she and her partner founded a company providing sound engineering and DJ services for events, an experience that expanded her understanding of live sound and performance from both a technical and creative perspective.
Today, Kim’s music blends rock, pop, and electronic influences into a style that feels both cinematic and raw. Her songs explore spirituality, emotional growth, and transformation, written with a balance of vulnerability and strength.
Her latest single, “Save Me,” marks the beginning of a new era - bold, reflective, and deeply human. For Kim Stadtherr, music is not just something she makes - it’s the way she connects, heals, and turns experience into sound.
